I'm a new owner of an MX-3000 and I am waiting to receive an MRF-300. Other posts indicate that IR blasters are not the only option for controlling components, and my understanding is that components with an IR-in jack can be connected to the MRF-300 and controlled that way. Is that understanding correct? If so, does the MRF-300 come with the cables in addition to the blasters?
On a more specific note, does anyone know if this would work on Pioneer Elite plasmas, which have what Pioneer calls an "SR" in and out? The SR jack is for daisy-chaining similarly equipped Pioneer receivers and other devices so that they can be controlled by the receiver. My Pro-1120 plasma has a separate media control box where these SR jacks are located, but that box does not seem to have its own IR receiver on the front. The display with the IR receiver is far enough away that running a blaster from the display, down through the wall, under the floor and back up to the media center is prohibitive but not impossible.
Thanks for any general or specific help you can give.

That's the way I understand it. Runco uses some Pioneer displays for their stuff, and hence have the same "Daisy Chain" option. That should work the same as "IR in" and "IR Out"

KC is right. The MRF300 dos not come with the cables to use the IR jack in the back of equipment. We use standard stereo 3.5mm 3' and 6' cables. You only need mono, but for some reason, the stereo ones are cheaper.

Actually, the MRF-300 does come with 2 12' cables for this purpose. One is to be used to attach the RFX-150 and the other can be used as an interconnect.
We have them in stock and will be shipping today.

Thanks KC, Mike and Damon for your helpful responses. I am very glad I decided to wait for the 300 instead of getting the 250. If I end up needing more than one of the cables, Radio Shack is down the street.
