All,
I have 2 Sony 400 DVD ES megachangers in the same room connected to an Escient DVD100M music/video manager. Since the Escient controls the 2 DVD changers, I don't believe I need to include the DVD changers on the device page (only the Escient) to watch a DVD or listen to a CD. Tell me if this is incorrect (I am working with the mx850 simulator since my remote has not arrived yet). Just incase I do need to do something with the DVD changers I would like to add them to my device page. My probelm is how do I do this when there is only 1 IR code for the changer. there is a button on the back of the changer which I have set so that the original remotes can distinguish between the 2 changers but how do I get the mx850 to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

By the way does anyone know of a good 3-4 input remote control video selector or RF modulator. The one that I have is not controlled by a remote so I will not be able to write code to switch to the correct input using my mx850.

Thanks,
Bigdm

Is this the only solution and if so how exactly does this work? I don't actually have my equipment yet, but I am writing my program using the MXEDITOR.

You will need the MRF to do this. In your editor software go to Program and the click on RF control, this will bring up a new screen and it will display all of your devices, just click on the flasher number you want for each device. You will still want to make sure that the IR from the flashers or the remote can not flood the Units.

Some Sony product also allows you to have upto 3 sets of codes for thier media devices.

Yeti,
Thanks for the instructions on how to do the RF setting. I am curious though about your last comment. The Sony DVP-CX777ES DVD changer has a Command Mode switch that has 3 settings on the back and the remote also has 3 settings you can select in the battery compartment. It seems that there should be more than one IR code for this product. Will I have to wait until my MX850 remote gets here to learn the code or will learning a button not produce the IR code?

I have experience with the Escient and control of the Sony 777. DO NOT use the discrete IR control with the MRF250. The DVD M100 is your controller now, using its interface it decides which changer to control Program your remote to control the DVDM100 only. I would advise not even programming in any remote codes for your changers so as not to confuse the DVDM100's control.

Namdmas,
I plan to only use the mx850 to control the Escient, but if the Escient all of a sudden stop controlling the DVD changers or things get out of sink I would like for my mx850 to control the changers instead of having to keep tabs on where I stored my original remote.
