I am getting a new Sony HDTV the qualia 006 next week. I have the MX-800. This new TV has 7 inputs. I don't know of any other Sony with 7, even the latest Sony LCD and CRT super fine-pitch HDTVs have 6. I have learned the codes for 6 Sony inputs to my MX-800 from a MXD file for another recent Sony set. How should I learn a discrete code for input number 7 ???

I've seen it floating around on the boards, but it's in hex format. You'll need to use Pronto Edit, create a device, input the hex code to create a command, and save the CCF. Then, you can import the CCF file in the MX Editor's universal browser feature and just drag and drop the command in.

Alternately, you can create a button for input 7 and create a macro...step 1 - input 6, step 2 - 0.4 second delay, step 3 - t/v. That will provide the same end result.

Thank you,
Damon DG

Mike -

Thanks. The MXF file you pointed me to does have a button for Input 7. How do I add that to an existing MXF file on my MX-800?? Or can I add the entire MXF file as a "new device" in my existing MXF file?

The qualia 004 projector used different codes than their TV's, The factory remote had each input on it; I'm curious to see if the qualia 006 uses a different code set as well.

Does someone have the code set, and particularly for all the inputs, for the Qualia 004 as an MXF file? Could you post it if you have it?

I have a new Sony that uses the standard Sony codes. I have discrete codes for my MX-800 for Video 1 through Video 7, but need a discrete code for the TV input which comes between Video 7 and Video 1.

HELP!!

I just bought the KV-27HS240. I got the file in the IR Database with the Video 1-6 but as mentioned above, I am missing Video 7.

How do I add that single discrete from an MXF file posted in the Files area?

If it's an MXF file, use the Universal Browser feature of MXEditor to oepn it and drag-and-drop the command from it to whatever button you want.

Thanks. This is the first time I used the Universal Browser. I now can see its utility.
