I don't want to use the permanent "FAV" key in the lower right of the LCD screen. But since this key can't be renamed or deleted, I decided to hide the 5 pages associated with this key to prevent my family from wandering into unprogrammed territory. After hiding the 5 associated pages and erasing any learned codes on the FAV key, I would expect a press of this key to do nothing. Instead, it takes you to "page 1 of 2" of the hidden pages. At this point, you cannot scroll to "page 2", and the text character in the upper left position of the LCD screen is a garbled "alien" character.

Thinking my unit had a problem, I tried this on a URC-300 at a local store with the same result.

Are others out there seeing the same thing? Any workaround suggestions?
