Can any URC-100, 200, 300 owner tell me if these remotes have an auto backlight. This means the backlight comes on automatically in the dark when any key is press just like the UCommand 525, Philips Pronto, etc.

Thanks

No, you have to push the "LIGHT" button on the side of the remote to get the backlight to come on.

Additional information:

Press button to turn on, and press button again to turn off. If not manually turned off, it will automatically turn off is a user defined period of time.

Consider it a battery saving feature.

I've been looking for a hard button remote that turns on the backlight in a dark room automatically as soon as it's being picked up or ANY button is pressed, not just the light button. Besides the Kameleon, Xantech URC2, Pronto, and UCommand, how come no other remote has this feature!!!
