Here are the discrete RC5x and Hex power On and Off codes for most, if not all, Marantz electronics (except their plasmas, which I believe are NEC1):

Power On:
RC5x 4 12 1
5001 0000 0000 0002 0004 000c 0001 0000

Power Off:
RC5x 4 12 2
5001 0000 0000 0002 0004 000c 0002 0000

I DESPARATELY need to get them into a MX-700 *.msd file.

I've tried pasting the hex codes into Pronto Edit to make a *.ccf file with buttons I could import with the Universal Browser, but ProntoEdit aliases the hex to the RC5x database and makes the buttons unimportable.

Can somebody tell me how to do this or even do it for me and e-mail me the file? A mostly blank *.msd with just the power On and Off commands on a couple of LCD buttons is all I need.

Thanks!

What Marantz component are you trying to control? Have you tried any of the .mxf files from the MX-700 files section? Also, there are discrete on/off commands for Marantz receivers in MXEditor.

Mike-

Thanks for the reply.

The device is Marantz's latest DV-8400 DVD-V/DVD-A/SACD player.

The Marantz code sets in the MX Editor IR database all contain the On-Off toggle code on both the On and Off hard buttons and no "P-On", "P-Off" codes on LCD buttons. In other words, no dicretes. Same for the Philips code sets.

I got the codes above by reading the IR codes in *.ccf files for the DV-8400 and several other Marantz DVD, CD players, VCRs, etc., with discrete On/Off's.
They're all the same, and I've heard this is the case with Marantz, except for their plasmas. Unfortunately, they are all aliases to the RC5x database and will not import inti MX-Editor

Have you tried creating a CCF using the hex codes found here?

I just tried them and they are importable into MXEditor. Can't tell you if they work though.
