Hello, I have a Sony DVD NS-725P and a MX-700 remote. I configured it through the Editor with respect to IR database and correct entry. However, when I actually use the remote, several buttons don't work. Specifically, Rewind, Chapter + and Chapter - do not work.
Does anyone else have a NS-725P and can corroborate my findings.

Check to make sure that there is no transport punch through in effect in MXEditor. If that doesn't help, you can learn the commands from your Sony remote.

I programmed an MX-800 for a friend with that DVD player, but we learned the codes from the factory remote so I can't comment on the IR Database's codes. If you're still having trouble with those buttons, I'd recommend learning as that absolutely works without any problems. David www.BlueDo.com
