Is there any way I can setup the remote to display my playlists on the remote?

Something like the Pronto's "Supernudelist" (which works with CD's)... I haven't seen anything yet.

The device is a Windows CE device, so theoretically it could do file syncronization via ActiveSync. Don't do this, but you can copy files to the unit, the problem is their application doesn't have a hook to folder/files that is user configurable. They wrap everything in their propritary file format.

It wouldn't be hard for the Universal-Remote people to read and display a file in ASCII TEXT format.

Live updates or reading play lists from the internet/wireless lan is something it could do also, because WinCE has an IP stack built in - the cost would increase, and there would be a form factor change to allow for the integration of a Wireless 802.11B/G radio.
