Hi,

I am having trouble loading the driver for IRClone under XP Pro. It shows up as a "D2XX Recovery PID for windows" in device manager. Whenever I try to load the
driver I get "specified location does not contain info about your hardware".
Any ideas?

Thanks, Steve

Steve,

Did you follow the directions listed on the Irclone.com web site for installing on Windows XP based PCs? Heres the link to the instructions if you don't already have them. I'm running XP Pro and it works fine. But you need to follow these instructions.

I've e-mailed IRClone to tell them that the driver on the FAQ/XP Setup page points to an out of date driver (D10504.zip).

The driver in the released version of the software (1.13.00) includes the new driver, but if you're using the beta version (2.00), you're going to need D10606.zip available here.

I don't know what the effects might be if you've installed SP2. I haven't done that yet.

Use this driver and see if you still have a problem. Uninstall the old driver and IR-Clone software first!!
god helps those who help themselves.
