I am just starting to program my first MX3000 remote and could sure use some help.
I have a Pioneer DV37 DVD player, and checked the pre-programmed IR database for IR codes. Not surprisingly, there was no selection for the DV37, but they did have a list of 13 (or maybe 14?) generic "pioneers .......(numbering 1 thru 13). I would guess that one of these would have the codes I need.
1.) Is there an easy way to find this out, short of downloading every one of the 13 sets?
2.) Can I just download the code for one command within a set and assume that if it works that the whole set will work?
This may well have been answered (multiple times) before, but I must confess that I have not read all the pages in this forum, only about 15 pages or so.
Anyway, thanks for any help,
Dennis

1) Instead of downloading each to the DVD section of your rcc file and then running back and forth from computer room to TV room (13 times), Create 13 devices DVD1 to DVD13 and load each with it's code.
**** OR ****
2) Bring the DVD into the computer room and use the "TEST" button on the IR Database Screen. I would assume if the remote is connected with the editor open you can test each high lighted function on the fly.
( Most likly meant for laptops users.)

There's one in the IR database. It's under Pioneer as "Elite-DV37", setup number 023. If you don't see it, do a "Live Update".
