Hi, I just picked up a new MX-3000 and am working on getting it setup. I have an MX-700 already setup for the room with all the commands learned. I seem to be having trouble getting reliable learns off of the 700, is there any other way of transferring the data? I have looked at the preprogrammed codes but can't seem to find ones that work for some of my equipment.

I hear you, I just went through an intensive full weekend programming session delivering one to a customer and it was like starting all over again. Is there a way to transfer BUTTON CONTENT between the two SAME BRANDED MX700 & MX3000? (unbelievable!). I didn't see any obvious way and didn't have the time to experiment with it.

RWI, As you may (or may not) know, there is a rich source of learned codes in the in the "more mature" Pronto world and they can be easley ported over using the MX editor.

At least half of the .ccf's didn't work from the MX3000. Thankfully once I got to the project site and could sit there and test the codes from the built-in database I was able to save the day. If I had access to my MX700 files from past jobs I wouldn't have to camp out in the customer's home theater room. What the hell were they thinking?

I'd recommend emailing URC with your suggestions - they surely want to make the MX-3000 as installer-friendly as possible!

Thanks for the suggestions, I guess in my excitement of having a fun new toy I did not follow the K.I.S.S. rule (keep it simple stupid) my battery's were low in my MX-700. With a fresh set I am learning without problems. URC really should have a way to make a change like this easier though

Don't be surprised if .mxd and .mxf files from the MX-700 & 800 will be able to be imported in upcoming releases of MX-3000 Editor.
