Hi, I have just started programming our new remote. Prior to purchasing, I downloaded a copy of the MX editor and looked at some of the sample configurations posted in the files area.

We bought our remote on Wednesday, and after a few false starts, I am beginning to get the hang of it. However, now when I try to open the posted configurations, I get an error "The file was created with MXEditor Version 1.06. You have MXEditor Version 1.05." The version I have on my PC (updated using Live Update) says it's Version 1.10.108. What exactly is the current version and is there any way to read the older configurations?

Thanks, I'm learning a lot by reading the messages here.

I am the kind of guy who checks for updates once (sometimes Twice) a day.
This is not always good... This was one of them.
For a few hours a Bad/Wrong editor was part of the update download.
** and I was unlucky.... and I think you were to **
You need to uninstall your editor on your computer, go to :
[Link: universalremote.com]
and download the version .116 editor.
** If you are lucky your problems are over **
For me things are never that easy.
My .rcc files would not load into the good editor and were "Trash"
(Becase I hit SAVE in the bad editor.)
I had to go back 2 Revs. of my .rcc files to find one that I had not loaded (and saved) with the bad editor.
** Still my problem was not over **
I could not upload anything into the remote do to the "bad code" from the bad editor was "stuck" in RAM.
So I had to hold down the "Main" button for about 30 secs. go into "Factory Reset" and "format the RAM".
Only then could I upload the .rcc file.
*** On the bright side ***
All my RF problems are GONE !
I hope this helps.

I also update everytime I am in the program, including just now. My version stayed at .109, not the .116 found on the website....odd...
