Hi,

I just received this remote but when I plug in the RF receiver, the status light does not blink which is supposed to be the indication that it's receiving the signal. I've confirmed through the IR that it's programmed properly.

Any thoughts as to why this would be?

Thanks,

Andrew

I'm also having some problems with the MRF-200 module. It's unreliable in RF mode. I'm just using two emitters to control two identical components (the reason I went MX-800 instead of MX-700). I have the IR blaster of the module turned off and am using IR from the MX-800 to control all the rest of my components, which works perfectly as one would expect.

I've moved the MRF-200 all over the place, tried various antenna positions, and it just doesn't seem to reliably receive RF commands from the 800. Works about 50% of the time. Don't know whether I have a defective module, a defective remote, or what. I'm stumpted.

I have never had 100% success with the RF Remotes from URC. I would try removing the antenna or getting the MRF200 as far away from a cable box or satellite receiver. If the remote does work on the IR but not RF it is a problem with the MRF Base unit. I have a whole list of troubleshooting tips from URC. Let me know if you would like me to email them to you.

I guess mine is version 0 because it has no sticker. I bought this as new, should I have received a Version 3?

Thanks,

Andrew

Not necessarily. I had 5 come in about 3 months ago and had ver 0,1 & 2. Needless to say they all worked but ver 1. It went back to URC and they replaced it with ZERO aggravation. They also took my RXV1400 remote and made an IR file for it. Definately read the troubleshooting guide
