I got my remote all setup and everything works perfect, except my macros for turning on my dvd or sat along with tv,reciever, etc... The mitsubishi TV has no discreet buttons for each input. On the original remote, you hit the device button and it pulls up a menu from which you select your device. I downloaded a file here for the 13 series tv's and it works fine. There are discreets for the inputs added to the file, and they work if hit individually.

About half of the time, when used in the macro, the tv will switch to the right input, (as seen in the corner of the screen with a label) but the screen stays blue. The other half off the time, it works properly. I have the RF adapter going along with my remote. Should I turn the IR off of the remote maybe because it is overpowering, confusing the tv.

I hope this makes sense to someone and I used the right terminology as I am still new to this. Thanks in advance.

Chad

Anyone have any suggestions, or do I need to word it another way. Thanks.

You may need a longer delay between the actual power up of tv and it switching imputs. I use a total of about 8 seconds from start of macro to end

My delay is about 8 seconds as well. I tried IR only/RF only and it still does the same thing. The macro will select the right input, however the the screen stays blue and does not show DVD or SAT output, which ever macro I use. If I do it manually, using just the Mit TV code I downloaded from here, labeled SAT or DVD, it works perfect. Those were the buttons I programmed into the macro. Kinda wierd. Maybe I'll try redoing the macros.

Does the Mits screen display the correct input when you execute the macro? If the right input on the TV is being selected and you're getting a blue screen, then there's no signal being received from the source. Do these macros turn on your SAT box and DVD player as well?

Yes, the input title will display in the left top corner and the macro selects the right input.

I have a seperate macro for sat and dvd. The macros turn all the required equipment on as well as switch to the correct input for each device.

The blue screen happens with both the DVD and SAT input, only using the macros. I always leave the SAT on, so on/off is not included in the macro. When the macro runs for SAT, I still get the blue screen, even though the SAT is on.

When I switch to TV on the mx800, the buttons labeled SAT and DVD work perfect, no blue screens.

If you want to send me your .mxf file, I can check it out and try it out on my Mits. All the WS models respond to the same discretes. BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can convert your Mits remote into a discrete mode and learn from it. It's described in the second post here.

I saw the second post and have not played with that yet. The original file I downloaded from here for the Mits TV's seems to work fine, just not in macro. The file I downloaded had the inputs set up as discreets, for the LCD menu. If I could send you the file to check out that would be great. It would be really appreciated. Where would I send it?

I ended up getting it to work for all devices messing with different time delays. If you still want to look at the file, let me know and I'll send it to you. Thanks very much for trying to solve my problem.

Sounds like you're all set, but other than when the set first turns on, you shouldn't need delays preceeding input changes.
