I searched to no avail.
I can't get a push and hold delay to work on a macro on the MX3000. I have two devices that I want a 1 second hold before switching to that device page.
Currently I have tried the delay on the line above the jump, on the same line (to the left) of the jump and with the check box checked and unchecked. Nothing results in a required delay. They both go right to the device with a quick press.
Anyone else see this?
Thanks in advance.

Okay, well I found press mode in the Macro window. But now I get nothing after selecting a 1 sec delay and the after button. All I want is a jump to a device, so it should be simple.
I'll keep trying.

Forgive me it's lunchtime and I don't always read well :)
Are you trying to have the button do two different tasks, one if pressed and one if held?
Or are you simply trying to add a pause before a jump to a device page?
If it's the later, add the pause before the jump (not after or on the same line).

I am trying to do the later. I just re-did the macro yet again to no avail. I have the pause in the line 1 of the macro, and the jump in line 2. After downloading to the remote, I press the soft button and it pauses 1 second (the pause length I have selected) and then it goes to that page.
I have tried it every which way and I am coming up dry.
Thanks for the help.

OK now my excuse for the dumb questions is it is almost midnight :)
You said that you press the button, it pauses 1 second and the goes to the page...isn't that what you wanted?
I guess I am losing you on the "push and hold macro" comment. It sounds like you want to jump to a new page after a one second delay IF you press AND hold the soft key. In the software, once you select PressTime Mode, you have to add your actions to both areas, before and after. So anything you want to happen after a long press must be entered after you select the "after" radio button on the right.
Again, please forgive me if you know this and this is not what you are getting at...

Thanks Harley. You are correct that I am trying to go to a page after a one second hold. I don't care what happens with a shorter than 1 second press as it won't be pregrammed to do anything. I have tried it using the before and after mode with no luck. When I tried, I left the before empty and the after as the jump, but it didn't work.
Oh well. Thanks anyway.

Hmmm.. as long as you are sure you have selected the after and set it for 1 second...and of course put the jump in...this should work. One second is a long one second, so be sure you are holding it long enough.
Just reread your first post....the ability to not do anything until you press the button for one second is NOT programmed as a delay. That just makes it so the jump is delayed one second.
In the option box on the right, you must choose "After" AND set the number of seconds for the delay.

Thanks Harley. I gave up. I tried it every which way and couldn't get it to work. Oh well. I will try again later.
