I've decided to buy a HTM remote because of all the great reviews. That's about the extent of my decision. I'm new to this fancy remote thing and frankly it seems very daunting to me but I'm ready to jump in. The remote that came with my Denon AVR-3505 is driving me crazy.

I need a remote that will control the following components and make me look like a genious to my family in the process:

Dishnetwork 510 pvr which only receives RF signals
Denon 3805 receiver
Samsung DLP TV
Mitsubishi DVD player
old Pioneer mega changer

Last question, is bluedo.com a good place to buy from? They seem to have good prices and are authorized dealers for HTM.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

mx-700 or 800 is the way to go.

mcampo,

I also have the Dish DVR 510. Not true that it only accepts RF signals. I have the HTM MX-500 (IR Only) and it controls the DVR 510 without a problem. I agree with oex on the MX-700/800 if price isn't an issue. Other wise you might consider the MX-500. I love mine. http://www.bluedo.com/ and http://www.surfremotecontrol.com/ are both authorized HTM dealers. They both have excellent service and supprot and are very knowledgeable and willing to help. I bought mine from Mike at surfremotecontrol.com. I am sure you will be happy with either company. Hope that helps and good luck!

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll go with the MX-700 and hope I don't get in over my head.

Don't worry about being in over your head. There are hundreds of us who are here to help you out when/if you hit a speed bump or two.

You'll love the remote once you get it set up just the way you like it!

GregoriusM,
thanks for the encouraging words. I'm sure I'll have many questions when setting this thing up. I'm not very computer savy. It's good to know there is a place to go for help.

BTW, I envy you on being a "Grampa". My kids are in thier early teens now and I miss having babies in the house. So I'm looking forward to the day they have kids of thier own.

I know I'm a bit late but I have a couple of good devices set up for my Denon 2805 and Dish 510 I can upload if you're interested.
