The joystick control doesn't press in and pop out on my hometheatre master
mx-500 remote control any more. I have it apart and it is a joystick type
pot About a 3/8" square package with 5 pins on two of the opposing sides.
It has the small center control shaft that moves in all lateral angles with
a push center on it.

The circuit baord has the square mouting position embossed with MSW, but
there are no markings that I can see on the joystick itself. I have the
joystick assembly off the circuit board and there is a small circle with "S"
in it on the back, but that's it.

Any ideas on a replacement?

I had the switch apart and they have 5 circular sort of tiny convex
metallic surfaces, The center one was sort of deformed. I took it out and
popped it back to shape, but of course once you push on it again, it deforms
again. - Bummer.

I tried to re-arch it (gently) and swapped it with one of the corner
position ones that are not used as much. It may (or may not) last until I
can find a replacement for it.

TIA for any assistance.
