I will be getting the MX-50 shortly and I want to know how to handle the selection of the 55813 DEVICES (HD TIVO, CABLE, DVD, etc.) and AUDIO speaker selection (TV speaker or AVR).
Does the MX-500 have the actual codes for those selections without having to steer around and select icons? The steering could be problematic since it would depend on the previous selected icon.
Thanks in advance for your help.
PS When I had the Harmony remote, I found the direct codes for selection of the TV input devices. I am hoping to find same with the MX-500.

The MX-500 is limited in the built-in codes it has, so your best bet is to learn the commands from your existing remote. In the case of at Mits WS TV, most have discrete commands (like inputs) available from the Mits remote. You just have to put the remote into a "discrete" mode. The procedure is described in the second post here. Mike www.SurfRemoteControl.com

Thank you very much. The thread you pointed me to was very helpful. I am waiting now to get my MX-500 and try it out. I can see that you are the man with the answers when it comes to remotes. If I hadn't already bought the unit, I would have bought it from your place. How about the AUDIO button on the Mitsu 55813 that brings up a graphic for selecting TV speaker or AVR speakers? Do you know the mapping for those discrete codes?
Thanks again

You're welcome. I don't believe there are discretes for that function, but you should be able to learn the AUDIO button to your MX-500.
