I was wondering if there is a solution to this issue in the MXEditor.

I have a MX-800 device where I have discrete on/off LCD buttons. I would like to move these to the main on/off power buttons on top and delete the LCD buttons.

If I just create a shortcut and then delete the source of the shortcut, would I loose the coding assigned to the shortcut?

Suggestions would be appreciated. I am still a novice with the MXEditor.

Thank you.

If it's a learned command (has an "L" on it in MXEditor), you can use Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V to copy and paste it where you want, then delete the original. If it's an IR database command, then copy and pasting just creates a shortcut. Deleting the original will cause you to lose the shortcut.
