Programming my first 3000 and really love the versatility and all you can potentially do with it. But for some reason I cannot download to the remote. It says check connection. I've triple checked it. So I uninstalled device and reinstalled and I get USB Sync MX - This device cannot start. ( CODE 10 ). Any ideas what this means? Any help is appreciated.

Yes. But I figured it out. If the battery level is even a little bit low it has trouble up/down loading your stuff. So, I charged overnight, and it worked first try once it was fully charged.

Anyone else notice any problems with Sync'ing with ActiveSync? It seems to be hit and miss for me. I am going to try the "super-charged method above, but does anyone else have suggestions?

FYI... my MX-3000 is charging, connected, and doesn't want to sync. Yesterday/last night it did great. *sigh*

Anyone else think it is unfortunate the MX-3k has to be fully charged to sync?

I don't have to fully charge mine to sync, but I did have some strange behavior before I fully charged it the first time. The clock wouldn't keep the time. After fully charging once, that problem has almost gone away (it has happened once since then).

With ActiveSync, you have thrown another piece into the puzzle. Try rieinstalling AS. I use 3.71, not the version that came with the remote because I already had it on the pc. You could also try another USB port (along with a reinstall of AS).

I was trying that just as I saw your updated post... still no dice. I, too, use AS 371 already for my iPAQ and, though the very first time it didn't want to work with the MX-3k, it has worked ever since. That is until today.

Here's what happened:
1. Reinstalled AS 371
2. Connected to a new USB port and it detected the MX-3k but as an Unknown Device (can't remember if that was how it was the first time).
- Am I missing drivers? It has been a while since I did this connection so I am a little hazy.

Ideas?

I am trying to upload some updates I made for a friend and I am supposed to hand it over tonight. *sigh again*

Thanks!
