I just bought the MX-500 and I have a 2 year old sony Tivo. None of the codes under AUX for MX-500 work my Tivo box. Am I missing something, or do I need a new remote?

Do you still have your Sony remote? If so, forget about the codes and just learn the commands from your Sony remote. Takes about 2 minutes once you've edited the LCD-labled buttons text.

I forgot to add to try the 090 code under AUX if you don't have a functioning Sony remote.

Aux code 090 is for peanut controlled tivos only. There aren't any Sony SA tivo or Dtivo codes in the mx-500. You will need to teach.
