I just finished programming and testing the remote. Everything seems to be working fine with all the components so far.

However, I'm confused by one thing...

Whenever I perform a download, after 25% is downloaded, a message appears saying, "Testing Remote". During this time, the LCD display on the remote has several items that are being tested. Two of those items always say "FAIL!"

Those two items are named IROUT and IRAMP.

So, what do those words mean? Why do those two tests always fail? How can I rectify the problem?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you.

If you do a forum search for irout iramp fail you'll find that you're not the only one to notice. Basically, ignore it.

Thanks for the reply Dan.

Did a search and found the answer!

But isn't it funny that HTM has not OFFICIALLY informed of this occurrence and what the users should do with it? Basically, we're just agreeing to ignore it. But nothing "official".
