After about a year, the backlight seemed to die on my MX-700.

It is definitely bothersome, but I haven't really been pro-active enough to look for a solution...

...but I'm here now. ;-)

I read a post that the button sometimes comes loose... but I don't think that's my issue. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a simple solution? Is it possible that I turned it off or down somehow in some setting?

Thanks.

Mike

Usually the connector at the light switch breaks free. If that's the case the only fix is to send it into URC for repair, or open it yourself and solder the connection.

I actually bought it from BlueDo in Jan '03. I've emailed them about the issue now.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Mike,

As your remote is out of warranty, you'll need to contact the manufacturer for repair. I apologize for this inconvenience, please call 1-(800)-901-0800.

Thank you,

Great. My fault for not calling the day it happened.

I have contacted "the manufacturer"... No response yet.

I'll keep you posted.
