Anyone else having problems with the MX-1000 software and a computer with Windows XP. I can't get the software and the remote to talk. I have changed the port settings according to the website. I have changed the advanced settings. It still says download failure. Also the software defaults to Com port 3. When I change to Com Port 1 it says to check my settings. Any help appreciated. My remote reset itself and I had to bring it back to the store I purchased it from to load the default software.

The standard MXDesigner program does not support Windows XP (it's about three or four years old now). However, there is a newer version available from NAD Electronics that is supposed to work with XP. Here's the link: [Link: nadelectronics.com]
