I'm trying to teach the vol down command from a Proceed PRE into my MX800. No matter what I do, it doesn't want to take it. I've tried close, far, fluttering, etc. I have checked and the original Proceed remote works fine. Please help!

I believe that Proceed Audio is yet another manufacturer that uses the Philips RC5 IR protocol and tracks the toggle bit. (As a simple test, see if your volume down works again after you press some other key.)

Also, for more info, check out the following thread:

If this is the case, contact URC to see if they can add your device to their database because the MX-800 won't be able to learn the codes properly.

yeah, the volume up and every other command on the remote works. I've installed new batteries, turned off all the lights, fluttered, and every other generic trick and it still don't work.

A shot in the dark, but try learning the Vol down command to a different button or LCD button.
