OK so I finally go the directv Tivo to work with the MX-800, but now the MX-200 doesn't seem to recognize the remote (status light doesn't go on and once doors are closed to cabinet remote is useless. Before everything but the tivo worked through the RF with doors closed but now the MX-200 is lifeless. Help!!! It's like fix one thing and then everything else gets messed up.

The RF transmission is certainly powerful enough to go through cabinet doors - my system has an MX-800 upstairs, controlling the MRF-200 and a TiVo down in the basement, in an audio cabinet, and it's basically flawless. If the MRF-200 receiving too much interference from other electronic devices? It should be placed as far as possible from any other devices to avoid RF radiation which can interfere with the usage.

The status LED on your MRF-200 never lights?

What did you change to get the TiVo unit working? Did you add or rearrange any components in your equipment rack or inadvertently change the ID settings on the remote or MRF-200?

It shouldn't (they operate on different frequencies) but anything is possible. Did you recently introduce any other electronic devices into your environment?

Also, what version of the MRF-200 do you have?
