Just wondering if anybody knows if this would work
or have tried it, since I have a couple
of spare RFX6000's hanging around.

I don't believe so. You could try it, but I think you'd have a hard time matching receiver and component IDs.

I know that a few different non-addressable RF base stations are compatible, but the addressable units don't seem to be interchangeable at all in my experience. I'd sell the RFX-6000's and get the MRF-250.
