This problem is driving me nuts. My thumbpad works only intermittently with my SOny TIVO Sat60. I sent the remote back to the comapny and it was tested to specs. I reprogrammed using their (SAT60) device from the software. Sometimes it works, sometimes you can push the button 6 times and no response. My MX-500 works flawlessly as does the "peanut" remote. After hours of programming I'm stumped-- Any help?? Thanks

Does the MX700 thumbpad work OK for other devices? (ie a DVD player?)

My MX700 works great with my Sat-T60. Why don't you download my settings and try it on your remote or if you email me I will send you my latest one. You can reach me at [email protected]

Seems to work fine with everything else. The manufacturer tested it and reported no problems!

I was having the same problem. I had used the MX Editor's database commands for the Sony. I found the problem was solved by replacing the database's IR commands for the thumbpad with learned commands from the Sony DirecTivo remote.
