I think the MX-800 is the one for me.
A few pre purchase questions spring to mind.

1. Does using the RF via the MRF-200 add any delay in operation over IR?
2. Can the RF control X10 lighting directly?
3. Has anyone purchased via ebay. A couple of guys have the MX-800 for $265 ish....?

Thanks

Sorry, I didn't see your post. Can't help you with the third question but the answers to the first two are:

1. Sometimes. It also depends on the component and how you set the IR emitters. There's some delay with my Tivo units, but none with my receiver or DVD player.

2. No, it will not control any RF device directly.

I've never noticed any extra delay.

To control X-10 devices you will need an IR543. I have mine sitting just in front and to the side of my MRF-200, where it won't block anything.

Purchasing via EBay guarantees that you will have *no* warrantee. OTOH, you can almost buy two for the price of one. I suggest asking Mike (above, of SurfRemote.com) about open box pricing. This is kind of a happy medium, and is how I got mine.
