While cruising this site, I found some of the MX-500 system files that people have posted. I found that a couple of the people with MX-500's have some of the gear that I have, and they have discretes that I have been looking for.
My question is how do I download these MX-500 files into a format that I can use on the MX-700? It is not clear (or I'm an idiot which is probably closer) on this sitehow to do so. According to the directions as far as I understand, I would need the IR clone software among other things. Is this the case?

You would need both the IRClone software and hardware and an MX-500, because the IRClone uses an infrared box to communicate its information ONLY to the MX-500 and MX-600.
However, I'd check the Pronto CCF's, since your MX Editor can import discrete codes from CCF's if they have been learned - not from the Pronto's internal database.
