I learned certain codes into the MX-800 that work fine as stand alone when tested. However, bring them into a macro and they will not work. A simple macro to turn on 4 pieces of equipment skips a DVD player or a TV. Test the code by itself and the equipment works. In the Macro it's like it's not there. Adjusting delays does nothing. Any suggestions out there?

Any problems I've had with macros were usually solved by relearning any codes that seemed problematic. Also, changing the order of the steps of the macro might help.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Same problem here, I am finding the MX-800 to be buggie as hell. Especially with the problem you mentioned, the test command functioning sporadically, and the unit functioning perfectly for a day or hour then mysteriously stopping. I Have tried multiple units under various situations for clients. Couple that with the lack of CS from Universal. What does it take to even get a call back from them? If you do it is the same story, relearn the codes blah blah blah. I think that with time they will get the kinks out, But for now, please do not use me as your beta tester.

If you are using the MX800 with RF and using the IR Blasters hooked up to the MRF200 to run your macros, see the other thread about problems with the MRF200. I have found the MX800 itself to be pretty solid when programming. When learning a command from another remote, sometimes it does seem to take the 800 about 3 or 4 "learns" before the command actually works.

Whenever the remote stopped working for me, it was always because the MRF200 was having problems.

The thread with tips for setting up the MRF-200 can be found here: MX-800/MRF200 Setup
