I know there's a limited entry in the IR database for the 49TXi, but there's no choice for SAT or Satellite on the input list (They have tuner,cd,dvd,tape1,tv,vcr1,vcr2) and the MX-800 doesn't seem to want to learn the code. I believe this is due to the fact that the sat button on teh 49TXi's remote is actually a macro. It selects satellite as the input device, AND turns the satellite receiver on. I don't think the MX-800 can "learn" a macro... So, I'm stuck. Anyone have any suggestions?

I haven't noticed this, but maybe I learned mine. I will double check tonight. Doesn' the default layout include a sat button? Also, I thought there were a couple of 49txi device files upload to this site that you can check out.

As a workaround, can the macro be removed before you learn and then add it back if you still need that remote.

I had problems with some missing things from the ir database that I had to learn from the touch screen. Things like the THX, STD, Listening Channel, and Multi-channel select. They seem to learn fine, but they didn't work very well (i.e. you had to keep pressing the button say 10 tens to get it to work)

Somebody sent me their device file with those things learned and they work fine.

The 47TX pronto CCF found here has learned commands for all the inputs (including SAT) that you could try. It uses the same code number in the IR database as the 49, so it should work.
