Did I miss in the instructions how to switch sources without executing the macro for the button??
Someone said press the "main" button while switching but this does not seem to work.
Any help appreciated.

You'll want to erase the macro on the LCD button. You can have the LCD buttons on the MAIN page do one of three things:

1) No macro. You press the LCD button, you go to the corresponding device.

2) Single code. You press the LCD button, a single code is fired immediately and then you go to the corresponding device.

3) Press-and-hold Macro. You press and hold the LCD button for 3 seconds and a macro is executed.

It sounds like you've created the #2-style LCD button macro. Go into the programming mode and select ERASE.

I am switching to AUDIO on my receiver when all I want to do is tweak a setting from DVD.
I know I could do page2 commands on hte DVD page but I do not want to repeat all the audio tweak commands on all my sources.
I suppose I could just do as you mentioned and put the source switching command on the first page of the source I am on.

I think I misunderstood you before. Holding MAIN down while pushing a device button only works with the MX-700 and 800. Your options are as you and David mentioned above.
