I have a Sansung HDTV that when powered on I would like it to go directly to a specific video input source. The problem is that it takes about 15 seconds after initial power up to begin accepting video input commands from the factory remote. Is there a way I can program into the MX-500 a 15 second delay inside a macro? Example would be: Power-15 second delay-specified video input.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You can add delay time to your macro by repeated presses of the "PAUSE/INFO" button (in 0.2 second increments) to a total of 3 seconds. Then you have to enter another command before you can enter another 3 seconds of delay. Since you only have one command before the input switch, you need to create a "dummy" button that won't do anything, but can be added to the macro inbetween 3 second delays. With all but the FAV macros, delays do not count against the total step allowed in a macro.

My suggestion for the "dummy" key is to use the video input that you want instead. That way, if you ever use that "dummy" key for something else later, you wont mess up the macro you created today. I hope that makes sense.

Again thanks much for your suggestions. I'll try this method.

Why don't you put the video input you want in your "OFF" macro that way you wont have to wait 15 seconds on start up? It would already be set to the specific input when you hit your "ON" macro.
