I read through the programming manual for the MX-700, but couldn't find an answer to my question: Is it possible to program the favorites accessible via the FAV button so that they are sensitive to the currently selected device? I've got both a Comcast digital cable box and a TIVO box, each with their own built-in tuner. I'd like the MX-700 favorites to change channels based on whatever device is currently selected. If the Comcast device is selected, then I'd like the favorites to access the tuner in the Comcast box, but if the TIVO device is selected, I'd like the favorites to access TIVO's tuner. Any way to do this with the MX-700?

Nope. You would have to program separate FAVs for each box. However, with the MX-700's ability to have a macro on any button, you can also have FAVs on your device pages.

Hey Mike, thanks for the response. How would I program separate FAVs for each box? Not obvious that you can do this from the MX-700 Programming Manual.

When you program a FAV macro, you choose the device that the channel numbers are coming from, so you could have two FAV macros for channel 74, for example. One would be 7-4-Enter from your cable box and the other would be 7-4-Enter from your Tivo.
