Hey there fellas. Quick question.... Is there a way of putting something from the IR database on a button without replacing all the other buttons that were already programmed???? For example:

I prgrammed 4 buttons on the MX800 but when looking at the IR database i find 1 command that i like. So i press on "save" that brings up the LCD editor and i deleted all the ones i didnt want but when i clicked "apply" it erases everything on the devices pages!!! Any info will be appreciated!!!

Alex

PS: I just got the friggin thing 2 days ago!! :P

The only thing you can do is save the entire device to an unused device location, then shortcut to the buttons you want from one of your other devices.

A more elegant (but more complex) solution, if you have another learning remote available:

1) Start by save the entire device to an unused location, as Mike recommended above.

2) Then, teach the one command you want to another remote.

3) Teach that command back from the other remote to the button on the MX-800 where you really want it.

4) Test the button. If the function works...

5) Delete the "no longer needed" unused device.

Back in the old days of the MX-700 when it came with the Sidekick, I would just drag-and-drop the commands to the Sidekick, download them to it and learn them back to the 700. ;-)
