When I insert the batteries into my new MX-700, I can't get the test screen to stop -- it just keeps repeating and the little man won't stop running. I can't perform any other functions, download or otherwise. Anyone have this problem or know how to solve it? Thanks./

Since you've tried the "MAIN/STOP" instructions, I suggest you call Home Theater Master at 1-800-901-0800 and see if anything else can be done.

I dont see where he said he tried this. stuartb12, do a search for "nagging test screen" where you will find instructions on how to fix this. This is caused by a RAM overload.

He mentioned it on another thread. Unfortunately, it didn't work.

I did try it. Thanks for all the help. Called HTM and worked with technical support for a while. They concluded the problem is a bad IC chip and suggested I send it back for a replacement. Packing it up today . . . Thanks again./Stuart

Maybe there was a bad batch of these 700's, cause I have had similar test screen problems when the device falls onto the floor.
