I cannot figure out how to program favorites on my mx-700. I have looked at the manuals and editor and still am stumped. I have a dish network satellite box and want to program my favorite channels. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I look at the Favorites as a macro for the favorite buttons. So you click on the favorite hard button next to the lcd line where you programmed the name, then click on record (like recording a macro), then click out to the device you use to change channels (sat box, cable box, whatever) and record the channel numbers and enter if required. Then save on the macro window and save on the button name window. Thats one Favorite now.
Shortcut is to leave the first page open on the tree on the left to the cable box or sat box box device that you use to change channels. Then press the macro/fav record button, then click directly on the open page of the sat box, cable box etc, enter in the numbers directly then save and save.
Hope that helps.

there's a dish network favorites mxf file in the files area of this site.. it's a good starting point
Or...
try making a macro with the channel numbers, followed by your 'select' key.... Fox News would be like this:
2 0 5 Enter
no pauses needed

We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours. |
