I purchased a new Denon 3803 recently. I'm having a problem with the power on and power off commands when programing them into the power button and sytem off button as macros in my MX 500. The learned commands work fine, but when used in the macro they will not work on the Denon, the other commands for my other equipment work fine. Anybody have any ideas? I tried to use the commands in the m1,m2,m3 macro buttons, but had the same problem

Thanks

If every other command in the macro string works, try changing the location of the Power on or off command in the macro. What sequence of commands are you currently trying to program?

I'm programming in the power on macro for my Toshiba TV,4dtv and dish 508. Everything turns on except the Denon. The system of has the same problem.

Try moving the Denon power on command to the beginning of the macro. I've noticed that some Denon equipment won't recognize a command right after some other devices command has been sent. I'm guessing that after they see a command for somebody else they ignore all IR for either a set time or until a "no IR" gap.

Also, don't send any other 3803 commands for 1/2 a second or so after the power on. My 4800 ignore all IR commands received during its power up phase.
