MXEditor manual says about macros,

Macro step can be:
- IR Command
- Delay
- Jump

So, macro can't call another macro, is it right ?
I have tested, macro call goes to step list but
remote don't call it.
I must reset some devices from many places
and now i must copy the whole long macro many times.
If i make a little change to that macro, i must make
it to many places and care about syntax.

celeston,

A "Macro inside a macro" is what we refer to as nested macros. So, if you program an LCD key to act as a macro, you can program a macro on a different key that enacts the first LCD button's IR code, but it won't fire the macro.

While you can't have nested macros, you can use a shortcut to call in a macro recorded on a button in one device to a number of other buttons on other devices. That way if you ever change the macro, you'll only have to do it once.

Also, you can import all the steps from one macro into a new one. There is an "import macro" button in the macro recording window. The downside since it is a copy instead of a reference, if you change the original macro you have to find and change all marcros the include a copy of it too.

I agree - you don't want a configuration that requires 3 things be reprogrammed every time you change a macro. If that's a possibility, a shortcut is definitely the best way to go.

Thank you
The shortcut method solved my problem.
Another little thing:
When recording macro you must check that keys
are learned, not macros. MXEditor adds the step anyway, but if it's macro nothing happens.
I have many of two/three step macro keys, which i
like to call like a simple button. MXEditor is still
a good program. Pronto neo can call nested macros, but
it's awful program makes mess too much. Pronto neo
has also room only for 3 AA batteries, so it don't work
with rechargeables (3x1.2V) batteries. You can make
4xAAA battery pack and it fits in place by turning it
90 degrees. Battery life is about two weeks, then one hour fast charge (800mA NIMH batteries). Firmware works much better.
