Are these codes available anywhere or can I use the codes from another Sony HD television e.g the 34inch widescreen HDTV, KV-34HS510 ? If not, I guess I'll be learning the codes the old fashion way.

Thanks

You don't mention what remote control you are using? If it's the MX-700 or MX-800, there are lots of Sony discrete codes in the IR Database. You can also utilize any Pronto .ccf codes you come across with the new Universal Browser feature!

Yeah, you can most likely use codes from another Sony HD Television. Many components from the same conpany use the same codes. Thats why every model in the MX-editor is tied to a "code set". They don't each have their own individual code sets

Test the Sony TV codes in the IR Database, that should work for you.

Then you should be fine. If you notice, most of the KV-series uses the same code set anyway so "070" should work for you.

I've got a 36HS510 and used the 070 code number, a bit of learning from the original remote, and a bit of learning from a 15-1994 (for video7). If you'd like, I could try exporting my device and sending it to you (or uploading it to the RC files section).

robm,

Could you explain what you mean by "learning from a 15-1994 (for video7)"?

I have a 34HS510 and would love to be able to directly access vid 6 (my DVD) and vid7 (my HD Cable).

Thanks very much.

opchiasm,

I found the sony command code for video 7 (and others if they aren't included with the Mx-700 070 codes) at the following link:

[Link: anycities.com]

Then I made the conversion to the OFA EFC code at the following link:

[Link: anycities.com]

and programmed my Radio Shack 15-1994 remote with the discrete video 7 code... which worked... so I learned it to my MX-700.

There is probably a more "direct" way to get to the OFA code, but I couldn't any listings for the apparently fairly new video7 code.

I also couldn't find this code in any of the CCF files, otherwise I probably would have converted it from there.

I don't know if this will provide any value, but I'll export and upload my KV-36HS510 device to RC shortly.
