You make Lemonade of course!

I too , was suckered into the MX-1000 remote, which is, I might say, the best looking remote I own. However, I did find that an Mx-500 was much more to my liking. So what did I do with the Mx-1000 you are asking yourself. Why i combined it with another pricey yet ultimately useful gadget, my Bose wave radio/alarm clock. I now own the worlds greatest alarm clock!

I am about as nearsighted as they come and have trouble seeing a clock at any distance without my contacts or glasses.

The Mx-1000 has a built in clock, and is very readible in pitch dark with its built in backlight. Any time I wake up, I just reach under my pillow and WALLAH! Instant clock! 2" from my nose.

And the best part,
The Bose you see has an IR controllable SNOOZE button.
I have the MX-1000 joystick programmed as the snooze button.Talk about easy to find.

I hit it a couple of times untill I decide to turn on the morning news and then slowly brighten the x-10 controlled lamps to awaken my wife.

All for the low low price of $689, or somewhere in that vicinity.

So come on folks, don't kick yourself for these mistaken purchases. Find a way to justify them so the wife doesn't cut back your budget!
