I recently purchased an MX-800 from an online retailer and love it so far. However, I'm having some issues using it with my Philips TV. Has anyone out there created a device file (.mxd) for a Philips 55PP9502 Rear Projection TV? Specifically I'm looking for someone who has incorportated the discrete codes for ON/OFF, AV Input and Picture Format. Philips has posted a CCF file with these discretes, but they cannot be used in the MX Editor since they are IR (and not learned) codes.
I figure I have 3 options (sorted in order of amount of work on my end) 1) Find someone who has already created a device file for this. No luck so far as I couldn't find any in the files section. 2) Buy a Pronto, import the CCF, and teach my MX-800 the discreate codes 3) Buy a cheap learning remote to enter the discretes and subsequenty teach them to my MX-800.
BTW. The folks at Universal Remote need to update their IR database as it is woefully behind the technology curve.

Since you can't use the Universal Browser, your best bet would be to pick up a cheap Radio Shack remote (like the 15-2103) and try the advanced codes for device code 0054. Mike www.SurfRemoteControl.com

David, Thanks for sending the .mxf file with the Philips discretes. Unfortunately, however, I cannot use the file since I cannot copy the buttons to a device in my own .mxf file. Could you please create a device (e.g. TV), place them on pages in that device and export that device to a .mxd file. That way I can import it into my .mxf.

Why not just use that .mxf file to make your own mxd file and then import that into your file?
