I just picked up a Sony dvpcx860d cheap, but it doesn't have a manual or a remote control.

Has anyone programmed a MX500 to work with this changer? If so could I get a copy? I have Irclone.

Secondly does anyone know where I can get a copy of the users' manual?

There are .ccf files here for similar models which likely use similar codes (they're DVD Changers, too), which is probably the easiest way to get working codes. Another option is to simply bring your MX-500 to Circuit City or another store where these models would be on display, and use the display's remote to program your MX-500 (and you can test it right there on the display model!).

I've tried to located the manual for you, and was able to find the "875" model's manual, which I assume is probably very similar: DVP-CX875P (or, purchase from Sony at (800) 488-7669)

Thanks! It's just what I needed to figure out the more obscure functions of my new "toy"!

Your advice about the remote is good except that this is the first time I've seen a Sony Mega-changer in a store ( Best BUY) in MD in some time. They will order them from thieir werehouse but don't keep a demo in the store, probably not a fast mover, I will continue to look for one but the standard Sony DVD functions on my MX-500 will suffice even if I never add the additional ones.

Thanks again for your quick response.

I'm glad I could help - some of the higher-end stores may have Sony DVD Changers on display (Soundtrack/Audio King/Ultimate Electronics, etc)
