I have a MX-700 that is not working with my Denon AVR-4802 receiver. I downloaded the correct code from the MX software. The receiver make/model was in the IR Database, however no luck. Any advise.

Try learning some of the commands from your Denon remote, just to make sure your MX-700's working properly.

Something's amiss. I used my 700 with both my 3802 and now with my 3803. Both worked fine and the 4802 uses the same codes as the 3802 (with the exception of a couple of THX related things.) I used a mix of built-in codes and learned.

I'm not on my PC now but I think I used the AVR-3801 set of codes. If your 4802 doesn't work, try one of the others...

Or try my AVR-3300 file. Not everything is there, but most of what you need is the same.

Have you tested multiple buttons, or just a few? I have a Denon AVR-4800, and the built in codes mostly worked. A few (like the Dolby and DVD discretes) were just plain wrong and did nothing.

There is a bit of mis-labeling on the MX codes. I had to relabel some of the screens. I also had problems with the descrete power on/off. I had to learn them from my remote. Once that was done, it works like a charm!

Thanks for all the great tips. Learning the codes worked perfectly.
