I'm one of the frustrated Dell laptop users who never could get the MX-Designer software for my MX-1000 working reliably.
I just tried Win2K w/o any success also.
My question is if ANYONE has successfully used MX-Designer on Win98 (or 98 SE) successfully on a Dell laptop?

I used to be able to get it to work with my old dell and an 98/se but it doesn't work after I upgraded to 2k. Basically the software sucks and is unfinished. Welcome to the club of hung out to dry MX1000 owners....

MX Designer works with Windows98, 98SE, & ME. I use it daily on 98SE & ME, and frequently on three distinctly different computers, without significant glitches. I have created over 100 different system layouts around the "one-touch" activity driven scenario. As soon as Daniel obtains some kind of new hardware, I will be posting 30+ of my most "generic" layouts in the files area. Get in touch with Mike @ Universal Remote for port setting issues, as there are a few things you should check on your laptop...not because it's a Dell, just as a matter of course. What sort of troubles were you having, anyway?
