I am trying to preprogram my Sony Tivo to the AUX button. Because it doesn't power up or down (always power on) I am not quite sure how to pick a code from the list.

When I go through the process and enter a code and then save I am unable to get a response from the TIVO and when I go back thru the process the code in my 500 is not what I entered. Usually it is 093 but not always. Sometimes when I enter 164 and save and then go back thru the process the number shows up as 163.

I am sure I am doing something wrong and sure would appreciate some advise.

The forum is great and I sure learned a bunch before my MX500 arrived.

Thanks in advance

The number changing with preprogrammed codes is not unusual and is nothing to worry about. You might want to just learn the commands from your Sony Tivo remote. It only takes a few minutes and you'll end up with all the commands exactly where you want them. That's not always the case with preprogrammed codes.

Sorry it took me so long but didn't check the board last night.

It is a stand alone Sony 2000 upgraded to 80 hours
