I just got my MX-500 a week ago, so forgive the newbie question.

I'm using my Mx-500 with DirecTIVO. I wondered if there is any way to program two key pushes on my original remote to one LCD key on the device's menu (I'm not talking about programming a macro to the device selector key).

The issue here is that TIVO has a series of two key pushes that serve as shortcuts to certain submenus. For example, by pressing the Tivo button and the 2 button, I move directly into the To Do screen.

What I would like is to set up a "To Do" button on the Sat devices LCD menu, and have it sent "Tivo-2." In other words, I'm basically trying to program a macro to a device's menu. Is that possible? Or, would I have to use one of the M1 - M3 keys?

Well, the MX-500 can learn more than one code in the learning setup if you press them fast enough, and it often takes lots of tries to get it. (But when you get it, it's pretty cool!)

Thanks for the information. I tried it last night, and finally got it to work. I had to do it numerous times, bu tyou are right it is pretty cool. I now have a one button push to get to the "TO DO" list, and that used to take me a lot more work.
