Hey Guys. New poster here.
I wondered if you could help me with a probem I've having with my Mx-500. I just purchased it for use with DirecTV. I have a DirecTV Sony SAT 60 receiver with TIVo built-in. I want to program some favorite channels (CMT, MTV, etc). I programmed in the specific channel numbers, but the when I press the FAV button it sometimes sends extra digits. For example, for the CMT button, I entered 327 for the CMT button. However, when I hit the button. It sometimes changes me to channel 327, and sometimes send 3273 or 32732. In other words, every other press or so, it sends an extra number. Any ideas on how to fix this?

This is a common problem with FAVs, and usually related to an underlying preprogrammed code in your device. Clear out the T60 device with the AUX 155 code, and relearn all the commands from your Sony remote. Make sure when you relearn the number buttons, you do it with a single push of the button on your Sony remote. That should solve the problem. Mike www.surfremotecontrol.com

Thanks, Mike. I suspected the problem was something of this nature and will give it a try tonight.
