I'm thinking of purchasing a remote to learn some discrete codes into my MX-500. What is the cheapest remote out there that I can use to do this? Cinema 7/8 remotes are fairly expensive given I've already purchased a MX-500 and only want the other remote to learn some codes.

Thanks!

I had good luck with the Radio Shack 15-2104. They had them on sale before Christmas for $19.95.

Another user on here gave me the following advice regarding RS remotes: The only RS remotes to accept advanced codes are 2103, 2104, 2116, 2133.

Maybe this will help....
